Working in the yard when the temperatures are high can be seemingly impossible. I like to save my biggest yard projects for spring and fall. During summer I like to do projects inside.
This year we are working on our laundry room. Simple wall stickers that create a pretty faux wood look as an accent wall. A bench with cubicles to organize shoes and coat hooks to hold jackets, book bags and purses.
A wire shelf above the washer and dryer to store cleaning supplies and keep them within reach of adults but away from kids.
The laundry room or mudroom is a simple and inexpensive room to spruce up. Enjoy keeping busy and out of the heat this summer.

Summer projects
Now that you've done some spring cleaning maybe its time to tackle some of those big projects you've been dreaming of.
Last summer we tore down our small weather worn deck and put a much larger deck, it was the perfect addition to our backyard. This year we will be focusing on tearing out gardens that have become overgrown with grass and weeds and refreshing the plants.
Putting in a new garden and refreshing old gardens can be a great way to refresh the look of your yard.
Give us a call if you need a bin.

Neighborhood clean up
Is your spring cleaning list already done. Cleaning up the neighborhood could help improve home values and the overall look of the area.
Here are a few ideas on how to clean up the neighborhood:
Offer to help a neighbor who could use the help like an elderly person or anyone who is struggling to get things done.
Put a group of neighbors together to cleanup.
Clean sidewalks and gutters and debris (ie. rocks, dirt, trash)
Come up with a community project (ie. gardens, trees, paint)

Spring Clean Time
Time to get spring cleaning!
The best way to organize a quick spring clean is grab some boxes and label them keep, toss, and donate. Go from room to room and try and to go through stuff as quickly as possible. Cleaning out old stuff can often take longer than you'd think if you start reminiscing and can lead to keeping stuff you don't need.
Once you've tackled the house make sure you take care of the yard. Trees need treatment before leaves start to sprout. Prune bushes and plants at the right time to ensure the best growth.
